District Courts:

Where? The state of NM is divided into 13 judicial districts (click here to open a map).

What? Domestic relations; Domestic violence; Miscellaneous civil cases; Misdemeanors; Criminal; Tribal felony; Juvenile; Mental health; Appeals from administrative agencies and lower courts; Contract, tort, real property rights, and estate.

Magistrate Courts:

Where? There are 54 magistrate courts throughout the state (click here to open a map).

What? Contract (including landlord-tenant), tort and real property rights ($0-10,000) cases; Felony preliminary hearings; Misdemeanors; DWI/DUI and other traffic violations.

Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court:
